Searsmont Bicentennial Day - Daytime Activities

Searsmont's Bicentennial Week concludes with a full day of (mostly) free activities in and around Searsmont village center and the Searsmont Community Building.
At 8:30 am, a Muzzy Ridge guided walk led by local historian Rosey Gerry meets at the Community Building.
From 9am to 3pm, the Historical Society opens its doors in the Community Building.
From 10am to 2pm, the Masonic Quantabacook Lodge village offers a free and confidential Children's Identification Program at the Community Center.
At 11am, Searsmont First Selectman Bruce Brierley leads a tour of historic Oak Grove Cemetery; meet at the Community Center.
Also at 11am, the Masons open their hot dog cart at the Community Center (fee charged for the food).
Children's activities and games, including face painting and a bounce house (all free), start at 3 pm. Balloon animal-making begins at 5.
The day will end with a lobster feed starting at 5pm, a pig roast starting at 5pm, a free barn dance with music by Belfast Bay Fiddlers (6pm) and Searsmont Street Band (6pm), and free fireworks at 9pm.
