Searsmont's Bicentennial Day ends with three food choices, good music, a barn dance, and fireworks. Everything is at or near the Community Center. Everything is free (including on-street and off-street parking), except for the food.

The Masonic Quantabacook Lodge will have a hot dog cart serving until 7pm. No advance reservations needed.

The Searsmont Historic Society will provide a pig roast starting at 5pm and continuing until the food is gone. Roast pork, potato and pasta salad, cole slaw, beverage, cake.   Meals are $12 for adults, $6 for children under 12. Reservations are highly recommended (limited tickets at the door). For reservations, call Nancy 930-3664 or Karen 342-3427, or go online to searsmontcelebration@gmail.com

The Searsmont United Methodist Church will also be serving a lobster feed starting at 5pm and continuing until the food is gone. Lobster drawn butter, corn on the cob, cole slaw, beverage, blueberry cake. Meals are $12 for everyone, $6 for an extra lobster, and $6 for just a lobster. You can also order lobster or lobster meals "to go" by reservation. Reservations are highly recommended (limited tickets at the door). For reservations, call Nancy 930-3664 or Karen 342-3427, or go online to searsmontcelebration@gmail.com

Barn Dance and Music will (almost) end the Bicentennial Day. Starting at 6:15 or so, the Belfast Bay Fiddlers play, and possibly some surprise musicians, followed by the famous Searsmont Street Band at 7. It's at the Community Center, and is free for everyone, but donation jars will be out. The music will last until at least 10pm.

FIREWORKS! Free for all, starting at 9pm or so, and interrupting the Barn Dance and Music, which will pick up after the fireworks end. People will be able to see the fireworks from the Community Center or just about anywhere in the village center.
