So here it is, the last busy weekend of the summer. We have no big plans except a BBQ here here a friends 30th birthday. I finally for a few more Morning Glory's and they are beautiful. School is back in session for the kids so please be aware and considerate when you are behind these buses and their precious cargo. I am still recuperating from this last hip revision, it is most aggravating to say he least. I so can't wait to be rid of this walker!! Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend.

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER: Tues. Sept 3, 2013: 1) Public meeting at 6:00 P.M. on Tues., September 3rd to vote on a Tax Anticipation Note in the amount of $1,000,000. 2) A Special Town Meeting to amend the tax due date and the interest effective date for 2013 property taxes. 3) Public Hearing immediately following special town meeting to discuss the petition for withdrawal from RSU 20.
There will be a public hearing at the Troy Howard Middle School, September 10th at 7:00 P.M. to set the figures for the RSU 20 budget Hearing . Your attendance is important.
Tues, Sept 17, each town in the RSU 20 district Budget Validation Referendum will have a secret ballot to accept or reject the total budget. Polls open 8 A.M. To 8 P.M.
The Selectmen would like to thank everyone who is paying this year’s taxes in advance. The Selectmen and Kathy are working with the bank to borrow money (a TAN) in order to make the school payments. If the school budget has not been passed by Sept. 24, the taxes will be estimated and the tax bills will be printed and mailed. The tax bills will reflect all prepayments.
