It was quite a pretty storm Wednesday and actually one of the best days spent inside so far this year. The best thing is spring and daylight savings time will be here next month. All and all we have been more fortunate than most other states. It has been some cold but beautiful sunny days.

Searsmont News

The town office will be closed on Monday, Feb 17 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

The grace period for dog licenses has ended. A State mandated penalty of $25 per dog is now in effect. Rabies shots need to be up-to-date before your dog can be licensed.

To all Veterans, Memorial Day will be here before you know it. This parade is in honor of you and all Veterans who have passed on. If you want to participate but need a ride, call the town office (342-5411) during normal business hours and talk with Alice or leave a message for the Parade Committee. The committee will try to make arrangements to have you picked up. If you cannot walk in the parade, you can ride.

The Searsmont “Founders Day” was postponed due to bad weather. A new date will be determined at their next meeting.
