It has been so good to be back in Maine, especially during the beautiful spring weather. Warmer days are ahead so anyone having spring/summer items you would like included please be sure to email or call me with your news. It will soon be time again for Public summers and ball games so let's keep our community informed.

Public Supper

The Searsmont United Methodist Church (next to the Fraternity Village Store on Rt. 131 in the heart of Searsmont Village) resumes this year's series of public suppers this Saturday, April 12th, at 5 PM.   Menu will include ham, turkey, casseroles, baked beans, vegetables, potatoes, beverages, and salads.   There will also be rolls and various pies.   Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 7-14; children under 7 admitted free.

Fraternity Village

Rose & The Wayfaring Strangers will be performing at Fraternity Village Store in Searsmont, Me. Saturday April 19th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm!

Their style of music ranges from Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Linda Ronstadt to Merle Haggard and a little bluegrass gospel thrown in.

 

The group features Kim Moran from Lincolnville, Maine, (vocals, mandolin, flute ); Doug Teel Rockville, Maine, (vocals, guitar); Ron Haven from Appleton, Me. (Bass); Linda Stevenson from Warren, Maine, (fiddle, vocals) Brian Veditz Lincolnville, on Harmonica and Rosey Gerry, from Lincolnville, (vocals, banjo, guitar, and autoharp).

They have performed up and down the midcoast area, and enjoy seeing people sing along and smile throughout their performances! Doesn’t matter if you have rhythm or not, their enthusiasm and mix of music are sure to have you toe-tapping and singing along.

Fraternity Village Store offer's great pizza and super sandwiches, and many of your favorite beverages, and an atmosphere that compares to no other.

 

Red Cross Blood Drive

Saturday, April 19th, there will be a American Red Cross Blood drive 9:00A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Come out and support your local communities to a much needed cause and one that could even be a benefit to you and/or your families. There will be a free 6" sub sandwich from Subway to all donors.
