It was a very heart wrenching week for the whole nation as the tragedy unfolded in Sandy Hook, Ct. So much has been said and rehashed this past week. All I can add is that hearts are way heavy over this Christmas/New Year season. Just please count your blessings everyday. Be grateful for what has been so “freely” given to us, never take advantage of those you love. As this week passes, and is now officially winter, please have a blessed and peaceful New Year in 2013. Regardless of how things “appear” right now, we are still a blessed nation.

Prenatal Yoga Classes

Yoga for Pregnancy, Birth, and Post-Par tum Recovery: a free presentation at the Belfast Free Library.

Monday, January 7th, 6-7 P.M.

We're offering a free talk/presentation at the Belfast Library to share the benefits of Yoga for pregnancy, birth, and post-par tum recovery. Prenatal Yoga classes are based on the philosophy that the quality of a woman's pregnancy and birth can profoundly transform and empower the rest of her life as an individual, mother, family and community partner. Classes include balancing and strengthening movements, uplifting affirmations, self-massage and relaxation. Led by registered Yoga instructor with over seven years teaching experience, mother and trained Doula, these practices are specifically suited to the expectant mother's needs. A great way for expectant mothers to connect with one another! There will be time for discussions and a forum for other family support practitioners to share their work in supporting expectant families.
