This has been a awesome week of pre-fall weather and today as I am writing this it is the first day of fall. As we were riding around the Ellsworth/Stonington area yesterday, we saw a lot of fall foliage already. I sure didn't get to enjoy too much of the summer due to my surgery and recovery, so I am trying to enjoy all the fall I can.

The outcome of last week’s vote is: 1. School Budget: voted in favor of adopting the budget as presented by the Board and voted on at the Budget Meeting. 2. Withdrawal: voted in favor of withdrawing from RSU 20.
Dog licenses for 2015 will be available Oct 15.
Searsmont Town Library
As Fall has quickly been approaching we now have a beautiful display of quilts, new and old, throughout the library. Be sure to come in and see them and the talent in local and other communities. There are many interesting sizes and patterns. Library hours are Tuesday, 9 A.M. - 7 P.M., Thursday, 4-8 P.M. Friday, 1-5 P.M. And Saturdays, 10 A.M. To 2 P.M. They will be on display from now and throughout the month of October.
Its coming into that time of year for the Cribbage Night to return. Our first night to start up again will be Friday, October 1st at 7:00 P.M. The following will be Friday, the 15th. Mark your calendars for a great night out at the Searsmont Community Building on Main St/Rte 131. Bring your boards, cards and possibly a partner and expect some fun!-
Waldo Boosters 1st Annual Craft Fair
The Waldo Boosters are hosting our 1st Annual Craft Fair on Oct 5th from 10:00-3:00 @ the Waldo Town Hall. We are looking for crafters to reserve their tables early. The tables are going for the low price of $10 each, the Boosters will be serving a light lunch as well as a few homemade goodies. Even if you are not a crafter, but sell Tuppeware or Avon or something you are welcome to reserve a table. And of course we are looking for customers/patrons to support all this local talent we have.
