Searsport man stabbed during fatal incident at Corinth home
Corinth — A Searsport man was treated for stab wounds Sunday, Sept. 15, as police investigate the death of a Corinth man.
State police are investigating the circumstances of the death of Christopher Darner, 37, of Corinth, who died during an incident at an 87 Beans Mill Road residence, according to a news release from Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.
Darner’s estranged wife, Miranda Darner, 22, lives at the residence and was home at the time of the incident, police said. Miranda has a protection order against her estranged husband, police said.
Police said Kirt Damon Jr., 24, of Searsport, was in the home when he suffered stab wounds during an incident inside the residence. Damon was treated for his injuries at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, the release said.
Zachary Joseph, 21, of Belfast, was also in the home at the time of the incident.
Miranda and Joseph did not suffer any injuries, police said. Police are continuing to investigate the death and no one has been charged, police said. Damon, Joseph and Miranda have cooperated with the investigation.
An autopsy on Christopher is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 16.
