Searsport Pines Golf Course tees it up April 18
Searsport — Searsport Pines Golf Course will open for the season on Tuesday, April 18. For now, there is only walking, with no riding carts.
The spring rates are $15 for nine holes and $25 for 18 holes. Seniors and juniors continue to pay those reduced spring rates throughout the season, said Sue Prisco of the club.
Early spring hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The driving range has been open since Tuesday, April 11.
Prisco said food and beverages, including beer and wine, are available at The Grille.
"The greens are in good shape coming out of the winter," Prisco said.
For use of the driving range, a small bag (25 balls) is $3 and a large bag (55 balls) $5. A driving range pass costs $40 (10 large bags for the price of 8 bags).
Membership rates are the same as 2016; no increases in fees for 2017 (individual, couples, senior, senior couples, family, junior and college student memberships are available).
Searsport Pines is a member of the North Atlantic Golf Association. This entitles the members of Searsport Pines Golf Course to play for free at area participating courses; twice at each course during the season. Just a cart fee is required with no greens fee to pay.
An updated list of the courses can be found online on the Hidden Meadows Golf Course website (under North Atlantic Golf Association).
