Searsport, Schenck prepare for PVC Class D title tiltVikings, Wolverines play Feb. 8 at Penobscot Valley High School
Howland — On the heels of one of the team's strongest seasons in recent memory, the Searsport girls basketball squad will play for the Penobscot Valley Conference Class D championship on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. Penobscot Valley High School.
The Vikings, which finished with a 14-4 record in its first season in Western Class D after participating in Eastern Class C for decades, will face Schenck of East Millinocket (15-3) for the conference title.
The Wolverines play in Eastern Class D and are projected as that region's top seed.
Searsport is projected as the third seed in Western Class D. The Vikings and Wolverines do not play each other during the regular season.
