Monday through Thursday, Nov. 26 - 29, the Planning Board will be holding a public hearing on an application by DCP Searsport, LLC. These public hearings will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held in the cafeteria of the Searsport District High School. Because Channell 7's ability to broadcast live is now limited to the Town Hall only, the public hearings will be recorded for broadcast later (about 48 hours) on Channel 7.
Tuesday, Nov. 27, starting at 6 p.m., the Waldo County Budget Committee will meet with the County Commissioners to continue working on the 2013 budget.
Friday, Nov. 30, the Gingerbread - Lighthouse display will be open to the public from 4 until 7:30 p.m. in the Penobscot Museum's Main Street Gallery. The Chocolate Drop Shoppe from Belfast will be on hand with holiday candies. This will be a one-day only display.
Friday, Nov. 30, starting at 5:30 p.m., the Searsport tree-lighting will take place in front of the Penobscot Marine Museum. The Pen Bay Singers will perform at the First Congregational Church starting at 7:30 p.m.
Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, starting at 7 p.m., the Belfast Maskers present the world premiere of "The Three Wise Men of Spider Creek," which will take place in Union Hall. This is an original play with music by Aynne Ames & Bundy Boit. Directed by Aynne Ames. Tickets are available at the door one hour before curtain. Children 12 and under $5, others $10.
Monday, Dec. 3, starting at 7 p.m., the North Station Committee will meet in the Dan Rich Public Safety Building.
Tuesday, Dec. 4, starting at 7 p.m., the regular meeting of the selectmen will take place in the Town Hall. This meeting will be televised.
Thursday, Dec. 6, starting at 6:30 p.m., the selectmen will hold a workshop on the 2013 town budget.
Friday, Dec. 7, starting at 6 p.m., the Budget Advisory Committee will hold its organizational meeting on the 2013 town budget.
Monday, Dec. 10, the Planning Board will hold its regular meeting in the Town Hall. This meeting will be televised.
Tuesday, Dec. 11, starting at 6:30 p.m., the selectmen will hold a workshop on the 2013 budget.
Friday, Dec. 15, Santa will be at the Dan Rich Public Safety Building. More info will follow.
During the month of October, the ambulance responded to 42 calls for service, the police responded to 228 calls and the fire department to 5 calls and issued 26 burn permits.
