Shades of Blue, by the bay
Belfast — The annual Belfast Summer Nights series continues with an outdoor performance by Shades of Blue Thursday, July 5 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Heritage Park, on the waterfront adjacent to the public landing.
Shades of Blue has been pleasing audiences since 2008 with an eclectic mix of old-time jazz favorites, blues, original compositions and sometimes reggae. The combo features lead vocalist Juliane Gardner, also playing rhythm guitar; Chris Poulin on lead guitar, vocals and flute; and Ezra Rugg on acoustic bass and electric bass.
The music is free, although donations for the series are always welcomed. Concertgoers should bring lawn seating and maybe a picnic. For more information, call 322-7123. Next up in the series Thursday, July 12 will be The Hips and the Willy Kelly Band at the downtown corner of Main and High streets.
