Sochor shows in Fryeburg
Fryeburg — Work by Lesia Sochor of Brooks is currently featured via the Pace Galleries in the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center, 18 Bradley Street on the campus of Fryeburg Academy.
Sochor is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Art. She illustrated the children's books "The Cat of Strawberry Hill" and "A Moose's Morning"; and teaches in settings around the Midcoast including Merryspring Nature Park in Camden and Waterfall Arts in Belfast. Her ongoing “Threads” series, sparked by her mother-in-law’s sewing drawer, has evolved as metaphor to the “stitching and repairing” of our world.
The center is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; during performances; or by appointment. To make an appointment, call 935-9232 or send email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
