Spectrum Generations began serving "maturing Mainers" in 1972 as a non-profit Area Agency on Aging covering Central and MidCoast Maine.

Spanning four decades, we've been right here in the 6 counties we serve:  Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Somerset and Waldo, plus the towns of Brunswick and Harpswell in Cumberland County.

Our name has undergone minor changes (formerly Senior Spectrum), but our mission remains the same:  To promote life-long learning health, wellness, nutrition, community engagement and the social well-being of maturing Mainers from the stateline to the coastline.

Friends and neighbors know us by many names, such as Meals on Wheels, Adult DayBreak, Money Management Services, Medicare and Insurance Counseling, or Family Caregivers to name a few - but one name says it all: Spectrum Generations.

Key Messages

Live Healthy, Live Well - Let us tempt you with ideas for dining, travel, activities, fitness, learning, and more at one of our seven community centers - where age is just a number and getting older means knowing what you want out of life and going for it.

Get Answers - We all need a little help from time to time to figure out our next steps.  If you're concerned about your well-being, your health, or your pocketbook, we can help cut through the red tape to get you the answers you need.  And - if you care for someone else, we will listen, advise, and support you to make the journey a little easier.

Get Connected - Our ability to connect you to new adventures, new ideas and new friends - or to life supporting help - is the hallmark of our experienced, friendly staff.  Connect with us today at 1-800-639-1553 or online at www.spectrumgenerations.org.

At Spectrum Generations you have a friend to help you age well and live a better healthier life.  Whether you are an active ager, a caregiver, or a senior in need of assistance, we are here for you - committed to help you and your family, friends and neighbors live life to the fullest.
