On Saturday February 8, 2014 at 5 pm, members of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church open the doors of the parish hall for a huge community auction to benefit area families in need. Well over $15,000 worth of goods and services have been donated from individuals and businesses throughout Knox County and they will be auctioned off beginning with a Silent Auction at 5 pm and a Live Auction at 6 pm with Bruce Gamage as the auctioneer.
In two years we have raised over 18,000.00 and would love your help to continue this effort
Winter can be the most financially difficult season for individuals and families living in Midcoast Maine.
The problem facing all our area organizations, is the rising need which is far greater than the donations targeted for this type of community outreach. To better address the growing needs, church members have organized “Share the Love Community Auction”. The auction is to raise funds to be distributed to area agencies which will include AIO Food Pantry, Salvation Army and the Rockland District Nurses Association through St. Peter’s to provide emergency aide to Midcoast families in crisis.
Businesses as well as individuals in the community have been very generous in donating items which are varied in scope. There is something for everyone at the auction and a list of items are updated weekly on our website at: www.stpetersrockland.org.
Refreshments will be available when the doors open for viewing auction items and the Silent auction beginis at 5 pm. The Live Auction begins with Bruce Gamage who will open the bidding at 6 pm. St. Peter’s is located at 11 White Street, next to the Rockland Public Library and behind the Recreation Center.
Your support will go toward providing Midcoast families in crisis with essentials!
