Summer Session Underway at URock with Enrollment Increases
The first summer session of college classes started May 19 at University College at Rockland.
According to URock Director, Deborah Meehan, "Overall enrollment this summer is up about 9% over last summer." Meehan attributes that to a stream of newly admitted students just starting out as well as college students living and working in the midcoast and also taking classes."
In particular, she noted that enrollment in face to face classes for the summer is up 45% over last year. "That means a lot more foot traffic at the center for us, " she happily added. "It's also a testament to the fact that students enjoy coming to live, interactive classes and spending time at the center."
Registration and admission for the fall term continue through the summer. Fall classes begin September 2. To schedule a free academic planning appointment, contact University College at Rockland at 596-6906.
