The Annual Kiwanis Christmas Tree Sale Has Begun!

By Kiwanis Club of Rockland | Nov 21, 2012

The annual Kiwanis Christmas Tree sale is located at the Maverick Street Plaza, [J.C. Penney and Hannaford’s], in Rockland, with a large variety of sizes available.  With a plan to sell up to 650 trees through the season, volunteers will staff the sales lot every day until all the trees are gone.

Hours of operation will begin at 9:00 AM on weekends, and 11:00 AM on weekdays, with sales continuing under the lights each night for those who enjoy the special experience of selecting a Christmas tree after dark.

Trees will be priced according to size:  Trees; 6-8 ft., $30; and 8-12 ft., $45.  Proceeds from the sale of Kiwanis Christmas trees are used to support the Kiwanis Scholarship Program for graduating high school seniors; and for funding of other special programs.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.  During the winter, the group meets every Monday for lunch at the Trackside Station restaurant in Rockland.
