The Hatchery: an entrepreneurial education series in Belfast

Growing a business can be a tricky process, whether it's a brand new startup or an established operation. The Hatchery, a new seminar series at the Belfast Free Library starting April 3, will help take some of the mystery out of this complex and occasionally perplexing process.

A cooperative effort of the Library, the Midcoast Magnet, the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce and MaineStream Finance, The Hatchery series will be anchored by Ken Greenleaf, a microenterprise consultant from MaineStream Finance and will feature presentations by professionals in every aspect of running a business, as well as by entrepreneurs who whose businesses are part of the fabric of the Midcoast community.

The Hatchery is a cooperative effort of the Library, MaineStream Finance, The Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce and Midcoast Magnet, and is sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank.

The series is free and each session is open to everyone, but we do ask you to register by calling the Belfast Free Library at 207-338-3884 or use the online registration form at www.mainestreamfinance.org.

The classes will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. These are the dates and topics. You can register for the whole series or just come to any class that might help you start or grow your business.

April 24 - Love Your Numbers

May 1 - Laws, Rules and Responsibilities

May 8 - Finding the Money

May 22 - The Plan, Again

May 29 - Real Stories
