The Rugged

Belfast — Local rockers The Rugged were slated to open this year’s Belfast Summer Nights concert series in June but were derailed by an accident. They are back on track and on the schedule for Thursday, Aug. 7, to play on the downtown corner of Main and High streets, which will be closed to vehicular traffic back to the Co-op, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Also performing will be local rockers Captain Obvious. The Rugged features Cody Tibbetts, Tim Valliere and Travis Lloyd, all Mt. View High School alumni who like to rock. Attendees are reminded to bring lawn chairs and/or dancing shoes. The series is free, but donations are welcome to keep the music rolling. For more information, call 322-7123.

Captain Obvious is no stranger to Belfast Summer Nights.
