Timothy L. Sullivan
Timmy passed away March 14 at his home in Middle Village. He was born the only son of John D. and Julia C. (Mckernan) Sullivan in New York City March 7, 1947. He graduated from high school in Elmhurst, N.Y. and attended business school in downtown Bangor, Maine. Timmy was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Viet Nam in 1968-69. Like many who served there he never spoke of what he saw there. Timmy owned and operated a Texaco Station on Long Island until last fall and fished whenever he could, mostly on the Hudson Canyon. Timmy spent many summers in Sandy Point in his youth and made regular visits back there in later years.
Timmy is survived by his wife Lupe of Middle Village, his sister Cele's daughters Amy and Beth, and first cousins Alfred George of Swanville and Cathie Reyes of Orrington. Timmy was predeceased by an infant sister Ellen, his sister Cele Reid of Verona Island and Sandy Point, his favorite aunt and uncle Catherine and Thurston George, his parents of Sandy Point and other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services were held in New York, and his ashes will be scattered on his favorite fishing grounds at a later date.
