In remembrance of Pearl Harbor Day, on Friday, Dec. 7, Searsport Town Manager James Gilway, left, and Searsport Town Historian Charlene Knox Farris, had a table display inside Tozier's Family Variety. the purpose of the display was to share a list of names of the 173 men and women from Searsport who served in World War II and to collect donations toward the creation fo a new World War II memorial to replace the original, which was removed in 1973 because it was deteriorated. Citizens who wish to make donations may do so at the Town Office and see a list of the veterans' names from now until the town meeting in March.
