Tomorrow is e-waste collection in Belfast
Do you have old and broken electronics around your house that you would like to dispose of but don’t want to have to pay a per-item fee to do so?
On Saturday, Sept. 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Belfast Rotary Club will sponsor its fourth electronic waste collection event at the Belfast Public Works Dept. parking lot at 115 Congress St.
There is no charge of individuals to drop off their electronic waste and there is limited pick-up service available for those who can’t get there.
Business owners who have electronic waste they want to dispose of, should contact eWaste Solutions at 615-3099 for a fee schedule.
The Rotary Club will be accepting donations at the eWaste event to help them with club operating expenses and their many community projects.
EWaste Recycling Solutions LLC of Auburn is working with the Rotary Club on the project. They will have staff at the collection site to pack and transport the items, including televisions, computers and monitors. Club members will be available to help with traffic and unloading vehicles.
