|7:00 PM - 9:00 PM|
On Friday, May 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Belfast Co-op Café, there will be a free wine tasting of highlighted seasonal wines and the opening for Leslie Mayer's art exhibit, "Family Tree Hanging Out", which will be on display in the Co-op Cafe through late June. Heidi Martin of South Portland Wine Co. and Jaap Helder from the Co-op's Wine Department will be available to answer questions. Featured wines will be 10% off during the tasting; participants must be 21 years of age or older to attend.
Leslie Mayer's series developed out of the need to focus on happy and fun things during the onset of serious and now chronic illness. 'Family Tree root 'n for one and all' has become a much loved line of greeting cards, which are available at the Belfast Co-op and other retail locations throughout the U.S. Leslie resides in Maine, happily surrounded by trees, painting. She's been selling art since 1989 through private collectors, juried craft fairs, retail, and wholesale venues. To learn more, please visit her website at: http://lsmayer.com
All are welcome at the community-owned Belfast Co-op, open 7:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily, at 123 High Street in downtown Belfast; (207) 338-2532, www.belfast.coop.
