Tractor Tip of the Week July 1-7

By Union Farm Equipment | Jul 05, 2012

When is the last time you checked your tire pressure? Many tire problems can be avoided by regularly checking your tire pressure. Even though tractors are not going 65 mph down I95, under inflated tires can cause problems. If the tire pressure is too low the front tires can roll off the rim when making a turn or you may damage the tire if the pressure is too low for the load you are carrying. Please check your owner’s manual for the correct inflation pressure. If your rear tires are loaded please use a gauge that can handle liquid. And, while you have the gauge out, it would be a good idea to check the truck, trailer, lawn tractor and any implements with pneumatic tires.
