“All aboard to buy a board !!” – or a box of nails – to support Midcoast Habitat for Humanity and Waldo County Habitat for Humanity. The scenic ride on the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. winds through the countryside for just over an hour. The Lincolnville Band will be playing tunes at the station. $15 for adults; $7.50 for children ages 3 to 12; $40 special family rate. Should your plans change for that day, your tickets are good for use throughout the summer. Purchase tickets in advance at the ReStore in Rockport (207-236-6123) or by calling 207-338-2344, or buy them in person the day of the event. Trains depart from City Point Station in Belfast at 13 Oak Hill Rd. rain or shine and are sponsored by the Brooks Preservation Society.
