Traya Huff Joins the Island Institute as Finance Director
Rockland, Maine–The Island Institute is pleased to announce that Traya Huff has joined the organization as the new finance director. Traya will manage the day-to-day operation of the Institute’s Finance department, performing a wide range of detailed reporting, financial and administrative functions pertaining to the Island Institute’s funds, accounts, and departments, and directing the work of the Finance department staff.
After working for a few years in public accounting, Traya has spent the past 15 years in the private sector, managing accounting departments. In addition to overseeing the daily accounting functions, she has specialized in financial statement, audit, review, and tax return preparation for review by independent accountants.
A native Mainer (of Rockland) she happily moved back to her hometown with her husband Bob and daughter Megan in 2008.
Traya has a B.S. in Accounting from Babson College and is a licensed CPA in the state of Maine.
