Troy woman summoned after vehicle catches on fire
Troy — A Troy woman was summoned for operating after suspension after her vehicle caught on fire the evening of May 29.
Catherine Groves, 47, of Troy, was traveling east in a 2001 Ford sport utility vehicle on North Dixmont Road in Troy at 9:28 p.m. when she smelled gas. After Groves stopped, the vehicle caught on fire, according to an accident report from the Waldo County Sheriff's Office.
The fire was extinguished the vehicle was towed from the scene by Ryan's Autobody. Groves was not injured as a result of the fire.
However, Groves was summoned for operating after suspension after it was determined her license had been suspended.
