Troy Town News

In My World:
Our garden is doing very ,very well. I find myself having a hard time keeping up with it at this point! But I do love it!! I also love sending people home with things & canning, so it all pays off. Si's dad & Bruce came over and I sent them home with Broccoli, Kale and some Beet Greens. They loved it!
Also made some more Dilly Beans, 2 gal of mustard pickles and some Dill Pickles. Joyce gave me some Zucchini & I got that all shredded up & froze so we will have some wonderful bread this winter with that.
On another note I was very sad to hear the news about Robin Williams.. Please remember friends,we do not know the battles that people deal with inside themselves Smile, do a kind jester, help someone out, spread kindness.. You never know what a simple smile means to someones day.
Have a nice and safe week. Remember to pay it forward!

Also got a call the other day from Sue Kischitz. She is opening a new shop in Troy & she is just the sweetest lady! Had a great phone call with her about her new shop & cannot wait to go over and see her and her shop. Here is the write up on it: “The Barn Window”, an antique shop located in Troy on Route 202, is a new destination for antique hunters, collectors and the curious.Displayed inside a large, old 2-story barn are tools, signs, art, furniture and every vintage and useful thing you might imagine. There’s an old school room with toys and a drivers ed. car that your children can play in while you browse. Old farm tools, wagon wheels, rockers, stools, cupboards, glassware and lamps are some of the items for sale. A museum area has natural curiosities. Two swings hang in the center aisle.Yes, they also sell windows. The route to this shop is a pleasant countryside, scenic joy, so enjoy the ride.
