Tuesday Talk fetes Mom
Belfast — Midcoast author and oral historian Meghan Vigeant will present Mother's Day Love Lessons: A professional story-saver shares lessons and stories by and about mothers Tuesday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. at Belfast Free Library, 106 High St.
Vigeant will share insights, stories and audio recordings about mothers, grandmothers and being a woman, gathered from the elders she has worked with over the years. Touching and funny, this Tuesday Talk promises to entertain as well as inform anyone who wants to save their mother's or grandmother's story.
Vigeant is a writer, personal historian and multimedia producer. Founder of Stories To Tell, a personal history publishing service, she is the author of “Guts, Feathers, and All,” a collection of profiles of 10 Swan’s Island residents and their island’s history. She was the Island Institute Historical Documentation Fellow on Swan’s Island from 2009 to 2011 and produced a body of oral histories, a digital photo collection, exhibits and audio and multimedia documentaries.
