Two-car crash results in minor injuries

Belmont — At least one person was transported to a hospital by ambulance as the result of a two-car accident on Route 3 near Belmont Boatworks Thursday, Sept. 6.

The Maine State Police and Belmont fire and ambulance personnel responded to the collision, which was reported just after noon. Ambulance attendants loaded one person into an ambulance while The Journal was at the scene.

The accident involved a pickup truck and a sedan, with the truck sustaining front end damage and the car showing rear-end damage. It is unknown at this time how many people were involved in the crash. An officer who was at the scene stated the accident resulted in relatively minor injuries.
