UMCC hires local woman as executive director
Camden — Megan L. Williams of Rockland will join United Mid-Coast Charities as the organization’s first-ever executive director.
“Megan is the right person at just the right time for us,” said John Viehman, president of UMCC’s Board of Directors. “She has a passion for social services, is a great collaborator, a natural leader. She’ll be key to sustaining our 76-year legacy of support for essential service providers here in Midcoast Maine.
“Megan has a proven track record of leading local organizations and helping them progress by focusing on strategy and relationships. As the needs in our community continue to grow, we need to be ever more vigilant in making the agencies we support stronger and more impactful in meeting critical needs,” Viehman said.
Williams joined Georges River Land Trust in December 2014 as a development and fundraising professional. Prior to that, she was director of marketing and communications at Pen Bay Healthcare.
A Maine native, Williams has been living and working in the Midcoast for 10 years. She lives in Rockland with her husband and two daughters.
