I contacted a few folks to find out if the cell tower in Knox would be producing signal and spoke with someone who’d just heard from the land owner that there’s nothing on the schedule as of yet.

Join us for a wintertime exploration of nature taking advantage of our newest trail system. Leader will be Unity College forestry professor Dylan Dillaway. Gather at the SRLT office at 93 Main St. to carpool to the preserve. At Kanokolus Bog Preserve in Unity presented by Sebasticook Regional Land Trust. Visioning Session for the Town of Unity

To All Who Care About the Future of Unity! Everyone’s opinion is wanted! If you live in or around Unity, your opinion matters! Doors open at 11:30, FREE lunch at noon. We’ll talk about economic opportunity, natural resources, community spirit, farming and agriculture, town governance, and ways we can partner with Unity College. At Unity Center for the Performing Arts. Child Care will be provided for free. Snow Date is February 1.

At the UBR Community Center. The Scrapbaggers are a quilting group which meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday evening at the community center. We work on charity quilts as a group and sometimes do challenges. We learn from each other about anything that has to do with quilting. Everyone is encouraged to bring in quilts to show or to get help on. We often attend area meetings and learn about other quilt groups. Always looking for new members.

Mentor Host Farm Meeting

With guest speaker and farmer Chip Planck, who writes for Growing for Market. This meeting, to be held at MOFGA in Unity, is for farms that currently or wish to host apprentices as part of MOFGA's Apprenticeship Program or who hire and train farm workers or aspire to do so.
