IN MY WORLD
My hens had become broody in the past few weeks, so I went with the flow, marked some of the eggs with magic marker and they hatched out 10 chicks. So cute! I’m interested in catching squid. Does anyone out there know about catching them in Maine? If so, email me.
Bill and I had dinner at the Cast Iron Grille recently. It looks nice inside. We met our friends Adam Joy and Meg Anderson there. Bill ordered the Haddock Sandwich while I chose off the impressive specials menu and had the Porcini Mushroom Stuffed Ravioli with Andouille sausage and peppers. Adam ordered the The Cast Iron Neptune Platter, an impressive pile of Whole belly clams, sea scallops, shrimp and haddock and Meg had the The Cast Iron Club. Everything was delicious, and our waitress was awesome.
IN YOUR WORLD
A reminder to folks that we can order house number signs from Penobscot County Triad. A single sign is $6.00, a single sign on a post is $9.00, a double sign on a post is $12.00. It is very important to have your house numbers prominently displayed in case of an emergency. It makes everyone’s job much quicker and easier and may save a life too.
