In my world
I put a deposit down for this year’s pig. We’re going to go with a larger breed this year, a Large Black/Old Gloucester Spot cross from Central Maine Pigs. I also have lined up my seed order with Johnny’s, my tree order with Musser Forests, and our onion order with Dixondale Farms. I think I missed the part of winter when life becomes quiet and there’s time to read and relax for a while.

Nomination papers are now available for the position of selectman, a three-year term. Papers have be returned to the Town Office by 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 12. Note: The election is for the position currently held by Chris Rossignol. Ron Rudolph's term expires in 2014; Clem Blakney's term expires in 2015.
Winter parking ban
No person shall park a vehicle on any Town Way, in the Town of Unity, from Midnight to 6am on any day from November 15 to March 15. Your vehicle will be towed at your expense.
Unity Area Regional Recycle Center
Open Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Closed Sunday and Monday.
