University College at Rockland Sends Six Students to the Camden Conference

Six local college students at University College at Rockland plus one faculty member will attend the Camden Conference this February thanks to generous local scholarships.

The Rockland Kiwanis Club will sponsor Patricia Swain of Alna, a degree candidate for a BA in English. Bangor Savings Bank will sponsor Jonatan Rice of Rockport, a sophomore in the BS in Computer Information Systems.A private scholarship donor will sponsor Michael Shunney of Rockland, BA in Liberal Arts, Zachary Cole of Rockland, BA in Liberal Arts, Owen Casas of Rockport, Bachelor of Applied Science, and Willow Henry-Elwell of Thomaston, Bachelor of Liberal Arts. Cole, Casas and Henry-Elwell have been meeting weekly and studying for the conference under the direction of faculty member, Peter Lodge.

The Camden Conference will take place in the mid-coast the weekend of February 22 - 24. This year's topic is "The Middle East - What Next?"
