Waldo County high school squads were in action on the pitch and the links Thursday, Sept. 19, with only one of four competing teams having emerged victorious.
The Searsport girls soccer team was the only county squad to secure a win with the Vikings earning a 5-3 victory over Deer Isle-Stonington.
The Searsport boys soccer and golf teams, along with Belfast field hockey, all fell in various games and matches.

Searsport 5, Deer Isle-Stonington 3
At Deer Isle Sept. 19, the Vikings earned a two-goal victory over the host Mariners.
Anna Bucklin, Karigen Coffin and Melinda Ogden had one goal and one assist in the win for Searsport, while Briana Grant and Brianna Boyle had one goal.
Allison Eaton netted two goals for DIS and Natalie Knowlton one.
Alicen Brooks made 10 saves on 14 shots in goal for Searsport, while Logan Eaton made 20 saves on 28 shots for Deer Isle-Stonington. The Vikings also held a 7-0 edge in corner kicks.
In the Maine Principals' Association Heal Point Standings for Western Class D, Searsport (1-1-2, 3.2653 points) is fourth, while Richmond (5-1, 11.8878 points) is first in the nine-team region. The top six teams make the playoffs.
Searsport's win over DIS has yet to be reported in the Heal Point Standings.
Bangor Christian 11, Searsport 1
At Searsport Sept. 19, the Patriots surged to a 10-goal win over the host Vikings. Bangor Christian led 6-1 at halftime.
Barrett Grant scored the lone goal for Searsport.
For Bangor Christian, Brandon Messer (4 goals, assist), Tucker Rice (2 goals, assist), Ben Miller (2 goals, assist), Kyle Holmes (goal, assist), Jay Bishop (goal) and Cody Collins (goal, 2 assists) keyed the offense.
The Patriots outshot the Vikings 38-5.
In the Maine Principals' Association Heal Point Standings for Western Class D, Searsport (1-3, 1.4881 points) is sixth, while Pine Tree Academy of Freeport (2-0, 8.2418 points) is first in the 12-team region. The top eight teams qualify for the playoffs.

At Castine Country Club Sept. 19, the Vikings fell to both the Eagles and Blue Devils in a tri-match.
Searsport's individual scores were: Alex Woodward 58, Rica Warren 62, John Guerette 63 and Tyler Kendall 65.
George Stevens Academy's individual scores were: C.J. Chen 45, Alex Heilner 47, Joe Maier 49, David Reinke 51, Brett Ingraham 55, Gordon Lameyer 65 and Dakota Chipman 71
Calais' individual scorers were: Jack Lander 49, Nick Hallowell 51, Greg Mitchell 53, Keegan Newman 63, Jackson Greenlaw 65, John Paointe 65, Zachary Gray-Kelly 65 and Dominic Gayton 72.
Chen, who shot 45, earned medalist honors.
