VStv adds veteran meteorologist to weather team

Rockport — Ken McKinley made his debut Friday, Jan. 6, on the VStv Morning Report, joining Chief Meteorologist Tyler Southard and Meteorologist Paul Janus on the Midcoast Weather team.

McKinley is a resident of Rockport and a current sitting member of the Select Board. Along with his forecasting work with VStv, McKinley heads up the meteorological consulting firm Locus Weather, based in Camden.

McKinley graduated from Cornell University in 1980 with a degree in atmospheric science and went on to attend graduate school at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he researched the applied use of doppler radar in meteorology.

He was the voice of weather for the former Coast 102.5 from the early '90s to early 2000s.
