VStv Heard on the Street

Apr 15, 2017
"It's always nail-biter waiting to see how much do I owe, above and beyond what I've been paying in all year. I have a bookkeeper, I try to defer most of the stress onto the professionals, just tell me how much I owe." -- Justin Doan, Lincolnville

"How did filing taxes go for you this year?"

"I really don't know, my husband does all of our taxes and I haven't had to think about it." -- Lauria O'Connell, Camden
"My tax experience has been OK. I used the software that you use to fill it out. But, I sent it to the state and I have yet to receive my refund, it's been seven weeks. So I'm not too pleased about that." -- George Jones, Waldoboro
"This year, not too bad. My husband is a self-employed lobsterman, so it's always exciting to find out what's going to happen. We filed, we made it in on time and it really fared out pretty well this year; it wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be!" -- Michelle Curtis, Thomaston
