Waldo County comes together to help Hurricane victims

The citizens of Waldo County have come together to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy in their time of need by collecting life-saving donations of goods and money.

The following items are needed: clothing (all sizes adult/children/baby), coats, hats, gloves, shoes/boots, blankets, sheets, towels, personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes/paste, deodorants, hair brushes/combs, baby supplies (diapers, formula, wipes, bottles), bottled water, batteries/flashlights, pet foods, cleaning supplies, non-perishable foods.

Donations are being collected at the following locations:

Aubuchon in Belfast

Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Curves in Belfast, Maine

During business hours

Searsport Fire Department

A trailer is placed in parking lot for drop off
