Waldo County General Hospital ribbon cutting
Waldo County General Hospital held a ribbon-cutting for its second new building across the street from the hospital. Cutting the ribbon were Wes Jordan, project manager for Sheridan Corporation, and Mark Biscone, executive director of the hospital. Looking on, from left, are Lee Woodward, president of the Board of Directors for the hospital; Mitch Sammons (hidden), senior vice president/treasurer of Sheridan; Mike Hogan, architect and clerk of the works for the project; Tim Weymouth (hidden), chief estimator for Sheridan; and Randy Kervin, field superintendent for Sheridan. Woodward told those in attendance that this was another hospital project that was “on time and under budget.”
This portion of the building will house Home Health and Hospice, Healthy Waldo County, CarePartners/Med Access, Journey to Health and the Belfast Public Health Nursing Assoc. on the first floor, and fiscal services upstairs. Also, with the addition of the new space, there is an opportunity to expand within the hospital the area for speech, rehabilitation services, the laboratory, the quality office and a new physician office.
