Waldo County Sheriff's blotter
Belfast — Law enforcement officials with the Waldo County Sheriff's Office reported the following recent activity.
Jennifer Guptill, 22, of Vinalhaven, inadequate tires, failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
Mark Riposta, 58, of Belfast, operating after suspension.
Crystal Stone, 59, of Montville, inspection sticker violation.
Paula Tripp, 64, of Searsmont, was attempting to pull out of her driveway on Moody Mountain Road in a 2004 Ford. Due to high snow banks alongside the driveway, visibility in the northbound direction was limited. Tripp inched out onto the road as 31-year-old Alicia Richardson was approaching in a 2002 Subaru. Richardson was unable to avoid hitting the front drivers side of Tripp's vehicle. Tripp's vehicle was leaking fluids and she backed it into the driveway after the crash. Richardson's vehicle was operable, but the accident report stated the front passengers side corner of the car had about $4,000 worth of damage. Neither of the women was hurt. Deputy Cody Laite suggested Tripp ask the person who plows her driveway to wing the snow bank back to improve visibility.
Joseph Collins, 40, of Freedom, violating conditions of release, falsifying physical evidence.
Jarrod Curry, 34, of Belmont, inspection sticker violation.
Nathan Chauvin, 24, of Unity, failure to provide proof of insurance, failure to provide license.
Daymon Dodge, 20, of Troy, sale and use of drug paraphernalia, possession of a usable amount of marijuana.
