A 16-year-old juvenile from Burnham had left a 1999 Dodge pickup parked in a driveway along Troy Road in Burnham and reportedly parked the vehicle in a position that left the back end extending out into the travel portion of the road. Meanwhile, 81-year-old Blaine Littlefield of Burnham approached from the east in a 1999 Dodge passenger car. Littlefield told police the sun was in his eyes and he did not see the back end of the parked pickup truck and hit the rear end of the truck as he passed by. No one was hurt.

A 17-year-old juvenile female was traveling west on the Belfast Road in Knox at about 7:35 a.m. when she reportedly fell asleep at the wheel. The 1997 Saturn the youth was operating left the road on the right side and then struck a mailbox post before coming to rest against several rocks in the ditch. The driver was not injured in the crash.

June 17

George Fernald, 48, of Benton, assault, refusal to sign a uniform summons and complaint.

Darcey R. Fraser, 34, of Plymouth, criminal trespass.

Holly L. Drew, 54, of Orrington, criminal trespass.

Readers are reminded that an arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
