Waldo County YMCA Bluefish dash to water successPlenty of early-season home meets for young swimmers
Belfast — The Waldo County YMCA Bluefish have enjoyed a splashing good time thus far this winter.
The Bluefish, a youth swimming program, hosted meets Nov. 23 and Dec. 7 and will host another event on Saturday, Dec. 14. The Bluefish will return home, in the Tom and Sally Savage Pool Complex, for meets Jan. 4 and Feb. 1. Most meets begin at 1 p.m.
The Bluefish have about 150 swimmers, ages 6-19, said Erin Mank, aquatics director at the Waldo County YMCA.

The team is led by head coach Aaron Winslow and assistant coaches Susan Cooney, Brett Steele and Betsy Bradley.
