Waldo man arrested on three counts of sexual assaultVictims ages range from 1 to 20 years old
A Waldo man has been arrested by the Maine State Police for sexually assaulting two minors and a woman at his home on Savage Road.
Jason Brown, 47, was arrest April 19 and charged with unlawful sexual contact Class B involving a 1-year-old, unlawful sexual contact Class C involving a 12-year-old and unlawful sexual touching Class D involving a 20-year-old.
The alleged assaults were discovered after the father of the 1-year-old girl came forward to police alleging his daughter was abused by Brown, said Detective Sargent Jason Richards of the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit. Detective Scott Bryant of the Major Crimes Unit lead the investigation of the alleged abuses.
"The 1-year-old made an indication to her father that something had occurred," Richards said. "The investigation followed and the two other victims were interviewed."
Richards said the alleged incident involving the 1-year-old occurred in mid April, 2014, and the incident involving the 20-year-old victim occurred around the same time. The alleged incident involving the 12-year-old took place in 2004, said Richards.
Richards said the victims knew each other and were frequent visitors or guests at Brown's home, but were not related to Brown. Richards said the investigation has not turned up any other alleged victims and he does not expect any further charges against Brown.
Brown was arraigned at Waldo County District Court April 23 and is scheduled for a status conference May 29.
