Waterfall Arts puts out call for spring show
Belfast — Waterfall Arts seeks art submitted by the community for an upcoming spring exhibit titled "Earth." Organizer Abbie Read said that “Earth" as raw material, earth as planet or earth as concept are all equally welcomed interpretations for submission.
Art work can be two- or three-dimensional or video, but cannot exceed 4 feet by 4 feet by 4 feet and must be able to be installed by Waterfall Arts staff and volunteers. Artists may also install their own work. The exhibit will be on display from April 5 to May 24, with an opening reception Friday, April 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. Work must be delivered between Tuesday, March 26, and Friday, March 29, and picked up immediately after the show closes, by May 29.
Submitted art work can be for sale or not, as the artist chooses. All work submitted that is ready for hanging or installing will be displayed. Artists of all ages and levels are encouraged to make work for this show. Questions may be directed to Martha Piscuskas, director of programming at Waterfall Arts, at 338-2222, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
