Richard Anderson is the founder and chief executive officer of Village NetMedia and VillageSoup. Occasionally he likes to weigh in with his view of current activity in his community and industry.
Richard is a disruptor, effecting change first as a mathematics teacher in Iowa, then as a developer of elementary and high school textbooks collaborating with the nation's leading textbook publishers, and now as an entrepreneur in the emerging digital news industry.
Richard resides in Camden and holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in mathematics from the University of Northern Iowa, and a doctorate in administration of educational research and information systems from the University of Iowa. He is a graduate of the Harvard University Business School Owner/President Management Program.
He publishes a Sustainable Journalism Blog directed to the newspaper industry.
