Feb 08, 2014
“The Library” is a 2006 acrylic on canvas by Kathy Weinberg.

Belfast — “Windows Into Worlds,” an exhibit of painting and photography by Kathy Weinberg of Morrill, is on display this month in the Kramer Gallery of Belfast Free Library, 106 High St.

Weinberg graduated from Washington University School of Fine Arts in 1984, and apprenticed with Bob Blackburn at the Printmaking Workshop in Manhattan 1985 to 1986. She moved to Maine 10 years ago.

Primarily a painter, Weinberg also works in wood, stone and clay. Her photographs are an extension of her artistic ideas and observations and her career in antique and architectural restoration adds a dimension of historical language into the contemporary.
