Belfast — City artist and gallery owner Susan Tobey White recently returned from New Orleans where she attended a workshop taught be Patti Brady, director of the Golden Artist Colors Working Artist Program and author of “Rethinking Acrylics.”

White was one of 18 working artists and active teachers chosen from around the United States to take part in this intensive program, where she was introduced to and developed an understanding of how to use the amazing products available through Golden, a leading manufacturer of acrylic paint. The bonus of this experience was meeting and connecting with the other 17 artists. Becoming a certified Golden Art Educator will enhance White’s artwork and enrich her teaching in the workshops and classes she offers.

Anyone familiar with White’s lively colorful paintings of dancers will be interested to see how the New Orleans experience may influence that series. To see more of her work or learn about workshops, visit High Street Studio & Gallery, 149 High St.; or visit susantobeywhite.com.
