Winterport — The 46th annual presentation of the outdoor Winterport Nativity is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Dec. 20 and 21, at 7 p.m. sharp in front of the Union Meeting House on Main Street, Route 1A.

Attendees should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early, as the road will be closed to traffic. Flashlights are helpful as the streetlights will be turned off for the play, which runs about 12 minutes.

There are usually some 300 spectators in attendance. The pageant is performed by the children of Winterport, with the exception of the Narrator, the only adult role. Live animals also play their parts.
