Winterport Historical Association will be holding a meeting Mon. April 14, at the Museum at 6:30 p.m. with a pot luck   Guest speaker will be Dick Jagels,, Retired Professor of Forest Biology.  His topic is "Home Music, Before Radio.                                                                                                                                       There is a School Budget meeting Thurs. April 10,  6:00 pm at Hampden Academy.                                                                                                                                 Nomination papers are still available at the Town Office.  2 council members, 1 school board and 1 assessor are needed.  Nomination papers must be returned to the Town Office by April 25th.                                                                                                                                       Congratulations to the Reeds Brook School.  They took 1st place in the State Show Choir Festival and Congratulations to the Wagner Middle School , they came in 2nd in the State Show Choir Festival.                                                                                                                                Remember the ECUMC Is having the Thrift shop open from 9-12 and again from 4-6.  The baked bean supper is from 4-6.  The 4 families that were burned out in the Carmel Apt. fire have been invited as guest.  The church has already donated over 100 items to the families.                                                                                                                       Many Winterport residents will remember Lucille Philbrick.  She is receiving Hospice Care in Portland ,Ore.  Prayers would be much welcomed.
